Target Audience: K-12 teachers, learning support

Description: Embark on an exploration of Peter Liljedahl's groundbreaking work, Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics, and discover its connections to Collaborative Learning, Problem-Based Learning, and Mixed, Spaced Practice. Through lively discussions and hands-on experiences as a whole group, divisional breakouts for skill-based applications, and independent reflective tasks, the essence of a Thinking Classroom will become clear. Walk away equipped with a toolkit of instructional strategies and math tasks ready for immediate implementation in your classroom.

  • Experience and explore math tasks that enrich student learning.

TAIS Board-Approved Cancellation Policy

Attendees will receive a full refund for an in-person conference if they cancel up to six weeks prior to the event and a 50% refund up to four weeks before the event. Refunds are not possible after four weeks prior to the event due to the costs incurred for food orders, hotel contracts, venue costs, and other administrative and setup fees. All refunds will reflect a 15% administration fee.
