The Tennessee Association of Independent Schools (TAIS) represents over 65 independent schools across Tennessee and northern Mississippi. As a non-profit governed by a Board of Directors and led by a team of passionate lifelong educators, TAIS supports Member Schools that provide strong academic programs, appreciate students and faculty as unique and whole individuals, foster community-engaged school cultures, and facilitate the moral and ethical growth of their students. All TAIS Member Schools maintain non-discriminatory policies, are incorporated as nonprofit organizations governed by a Board of Trustees, and are accredited either by the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS), Cognia, or the state of Tennessee.
