O.J. Morgan  (2022)

O.J. Morgan is a transformative leader whose work in education is shaped by his commitment to academic excellence and children’s wellbeing. During his 16 years of service as Head of School at Bright School, O.J. expanded arts and music offerings, added a three-year-old program, made improvements to the physical plant aimed at fostering students’ enjoyment of the outdoors, and launched a successful capital campaign. Most importantly, O.J. inspired students to see themselves in new ways and to move outside of their comfort zones as they took advantage of Bright’s innovative curricular offerings.

Prior to joining the Bright community, O.J. served as the Assistant Headmaster for Academic Affairs at Baylor School where he worked for 24 years save for a two-year hiatus, taken to earn his theology degree from Harvard Divinity School. At Baylor, O.J. helped students pursue their interests and consider their impact on the world and others through his work with the Walkabout outdoor program and community service.
